The University Student
Set has a specification designed to cover the essential
stereochemistry principles of a higher level qualification
such as Degree for university or college students.
This molecular model set can represent
the following types of study;
-
Optical iosmerism
-
Positional isomerism
-
Skeletal isomerism
-
Functional group
-
Geometric
-
Conformational
-
Five hole carbon
-
Butadienes
Why Molymod®?
Molymod® offers a terrific combination
of sturdy components and flexible model styles. Atoms
are made of solid coloured plastic spheres, from 17mm
- 23mm in diameter. They are available with holes from
1 - 6 in the usual angular orientations.

The Bonds are also solid plastic and
come in varying legths to build models of different
scales.
Closed molymod models
Space filling style using very short
links.

Open molymod models
Using two lengths of links,a standard
rigid link for bonds and a longer flexible link for
double and triple bonds.

This set now contains 6 pink
and 6 purple 2-D p-orbitals, which can be used
with 5 hole carbon to show the pi bonding present
in Benzene and other multiple bonded molecules
to help build Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion
(VSEPR) structures. |
